Codefidence was founded in 2003 by Gilad Ben-Yossef, a prominent Israeli Open Source expert and co-founder of Israeli Open Source NPO, HaMakor and Limor Pipman, previously IT team member of Yellow Pages™ and Technomatix® . Its investors include Pitango Venture Capital, as well as several private angels including Mr. Joshua Glazer and Mr. Yossi Vardi.

- August 2003 – Codefidence was founded at a spare room at the founders home.
- February 2004 – Codefidence hires first non founder employee, moves to first offices.
- June 2006 – Codefidence signs Hi-Tech College as a training partner, announces new training programs.
